The money used to help cancer
patients in Lawrence County comes from a variety of sources. Our group of
volunteers host several fundraisers throughout the year. In addition, several events are held where survivor bracelets are sold, and the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services group is recognized. That's not all! Organizations in Lawrence County often host events to support the LCCPS's cause. Some of the events include:
Spring Tea
Summer Garden Tour
Several homes with beautiful gardens allow people to tour their gardens. Everyone enjoys a
tranquil afternoon in a summer garden. We hope to host this event again 2022.

Fall Car Show
Antique cars and trucks are on display each fall at the Ford lot by the
Bridge on 37 while a variety of fun events go on.

Celebration of Life Survivors Luncheon
This is an event for cancer survivors and their caregivers. If you live in Lawrence County and have had cancer - you are invited! Just let us know you are coming.

Holiday Home Tour
Each year on the first Sunday of December individuals around Lawrence County open their homes for a festive holiday home tour. Guests drive themselves to the various decorated houses from late afternoon until later in the evening to be wow'ed by the Christmas splendor. In addition, a reception offers door prizes and refreshments to all that participate. All proceeds go to help patients.
Bedford Christmas Parade
In 2018, a float was offered to be borrowed by the LCCPS to carry survivors during the parade. The float was adorned with hearts, Christmas wreaths, and a Santa.
Events Hosted by Others in the Past:

Donut Run - The Bedford North Lawrence High School sponsored this boisterous run with donut eating, part of whose proceeds went to the LCCPS.
Run with Santa - This Christmas run has been sponsored regularly by Dr. Sowders and his family with the funds raised donated to LCCPS.
Road Rally - The Women's Moose Auxiliary group has held a road rally several different years and donated their proceeds to the LCCPS for several years.
Decorate a Bra Contest - Curves held a fun contest multiple years to decorate bras. Clients entered a bra and/or voted on their favorite
decorated bra. The bras were decorated with a variety of themes. People paid to vote and the bra with the most votes won!
